JK Anganwadi Recruitment 2025: 35 Vacancies Announced in Srinagar under POSHAN Project (4th Phase)

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Office of the Child Development Project Officer, POSHAN Project Srinagar, has released the 4th Phase Advertisement Notice for the recruitment of Sanginis (AWWs) and Sahayikas (AWHs) in Anganwadi Centres of Srinagar. A total of 35 posts are available for eligible female candidates on an honorarium basis.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

For Anganwadi Workers (AWW)

1. Candidate must be a domicile of J&K UT.
2. Only women candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01.01.2025 are eligible.
3. Candidate should be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated (proof via voter list/Tehsildar certificate required).
4. Minimum Qualification: 10+2 pass.
   • If no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a candidate from adjoining wards may be considered with prior approval.
5. Candidates with qualification higher than graduation will not be considered.
6. Selection will be merit-based (10+2 marks). In case of a tie, the elder candidate will be preferred.

For Anganwadi Helpers (AWH)

1. Only women candidates aged 18–37 years as on 01.01.2025 are eligible.
2. Candidate must be domicile of J&K UT and resident of the concerned ward.
3. Minimum Qualification: Matriculation.
   • If no matriculate candidate is available, 8th pass may be considered.
4. Preference will be given to destitute/needy married women from the ward.
5. In case no married candidate is available, unmarried candidates may be considered.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce the following original documents along with self-attested copies:

• Marks sheets / certificates (10th, 12th, etc.)
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Domicile Certificate
• Unmarried Certificate (if applicable, issued by Tehsildar)
• Aadhaar Card / Voter ID
• Two recent passport-size photographs

Important Dates

• Start of Application Submission: 26.08.2025
• Last Date to Apply: 09.09.2025 (till 4:00 PM)

Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure “A”) along with the required documents.

How to Apply

Eligible women candidates can apply offline by submitting their applications in the prescribed form at the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, POSHAN Project Srinagar, before the last date.
