Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant Motor Transport Notification 2025 for 455 Vacancies
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) – SA/MT posts. A total of 455 vacancies have been announced for candidates willing to serve in different Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux across India.
These posts are classified under Level-3 of the pay matrix along with allowances. The monthly salary will range between ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 plus admissible benefits.

Vacancy Details
The IB has announced 455 vacancies for the post of Security Assist ant (Motor Transport). The posts are distributed among various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux across India including Delhi, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and other regions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) from a recognized board.
- Driving License: Must possess a valid driving license for motor cars issued by a competent authority.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of driving experience in motor cars.
- Motor Mechanism Knowledge: Basic knowledge and ability to repair minor defects.
- Domicile: A domicile certificate of the state for which the candidate applies is mandatory.
- Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 28 September 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, women, ex-servicemen, sportspersons, and departmental candidates as per rules.

Selection Process
The recruitment process will be conducted in multiple stages:
- Tier I: Written Examination
- Tier II: Driving Test and Motor Mechanism Test
