The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has announced faculty positions of Assistant Professor across various Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) with pay level 11 (₹67,700–2,08,700).
The online application process begins on 25 September 2025 and will close on 24 October 2025. An editing window will be available from 25 to 27 October 2025.

A total of 105 vacancies are available in the following GMCs:
- Government Medical College Anantnag – 15 posts
- Government Medical College Baramulla – 15 posts
- Government Medical College Doda – 15 posts
- Government Medical College Kathua – 15 posts
- Government Medical College Rajouri – 15 posts
- Government Medical College Udhampur – 15 posts
- Government Medical College Handwara – 15 posts
Disciplines:
Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynae, Anaesthesiology, and Radio Diagnosis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must possess MBBS, MD, MS, DNB, DM, or M.Ch as per discipline requirement.
- DNB candidates must have completed the qualification from a 500-bedded hospital or have 1-year Senior Residency / equivalent experience.
- Applicants must be domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Age reckoned as on 1 January 2025.

- PHC candidates: Exempted
