Educational qualifications depend on the post:
- Assistant Secretary: Bachelor’s degree.
- Assistant Professor / Assistant Director: Post-graduate degree + 55% marks.
- Accounts Officer: Graduation in relevant disciplines (Economics, Commerce, Finance/Business Studies) or professional qualifications like MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA.
- Superintendent: Bachelor’s degree.
- Junior Translation Officer: Master’s in Hindi with English or vice versa.
- Junior Accountant / Junior Assistant: Minimum 12th pass + relevant subjects; some posts may demand typing skills.

Age limits vary by post category:
- Assistant Secretary & Accounts Officer: max age 35 years
- Assistant Professor / Assistant Director / Superintendent / Junior Translation Officer: max age 30 years
- Junior Accountant / Junior Assistant: max age 27 years
- Age relaxations as per Government of India rules (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD, etc.) are applicable.

Pay levels follow 7th CPC — posts range across pay levels from Level 2 up to Level 10 depending on the position.
📝 Application Process
- Candidates must apply online via CBSE’s official recruitment portal (through the “Recruitment 2025-26 / DRQ 2026” section).
- The application requires uploading scanned documents — photograph, signature, educational certificates as per post requirement — and payment of application fee.
- Application fees:
- General / OBC / EWS (Group A): ₹ 1,750
- General / OBC / EWS (Group B & C): ₹ 1,050
- SC / ST / PwBD / Women: ₹ 250 (for Group A, B & C)
🔎 Selection Procedure
- The recruitment will be through a Direct Recruitment Quota Examination (DRQ 2026) — an All India Competitive Examination.
- Depending on the post, selection may include a written computer-based test, skill test / typing test / translation test (where applicable), followed by document verification and medical examination.
