According to the latest draft notification (10.04.2026) from the J&K Revenue Department, the recruitment rules for Naib Tehsildar have been officially updated.
🚀 The Big Change: No Urdu Barrier
In a historic shift, the mandatory Urdu language requirement has been removed from the primary eligibility criteria. The post is now open to all graduates.
✅ Eligibility for Direct Recruitment
- Minimum Qualification: Graduation from any recognized University.
- Recruitment Quota: 40% via Direct Recruitment (JKSSB).
- Focus: Shifted toward IT and general administrative skills.
📈 Recruitment by Promotion (60%)
60% of posts are reserved for Girdawars / Saddar Qanungos who meet the following:
- 3 years of substantive service.
- Must have passed the prescribed departmental examination.
