J&K Mission Vatsalya Recruitment 2026: Apply for 79 Chairperson and Member Posts

The Directorate of Mission Vatsalya, Jammu & Kashmir, has invited applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Chairpersons and Members of Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) across various districts of the Union Territory. The appointments will be made under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and the Jammu & Kashmir Juvenile Justice Rules, 2021.

This recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals working in child welfare, education, law, social work, psychology, and related fields to contribute towards the protection and rehabilitation of children in need of care and protection.

Member Vacancies (60 Posts)

A total of 60 Member posts are available across Child Welfare Committees in different districts of Jammu & Kashmir.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 35 and 65 years of age as on 31 May 2026.

Educational Qualification

Applicants should possess a degree in any of the following disciplines:

  • Child Psychology
  • Education
  • Human Development
  • Special Education
  • Psychiatry
  • Law
  • Social Work
  • Sociology
  • Human Health

Applicants must also have a minimum of seven years of active involvement in child welfare, education, health, or related social service activities.

Terms and Conditions

  • The Child Welfare Committee shall consist of one Chairperson and four Members.
  • At least one Member in every committee must be a woman.
  • Candidates who have already completed two terms in the committee are not eligible for reappointment.
  • The tenure of appointment shall be three years from the date of joining.
  • Selected candidates will be entitled to sitting fees and allowances as per rules.
  • The engagement is purely honorary and does not constitute regular government employment.
  • The competent authority reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
