The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of 1,500 Probationary Officers (PO) across India. Eligible graduates can submit their online applications from 18 June 2026 to 08 July 2026 through the SBI Careers portal.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of graduation on or before 30 September 2026.
Age Limit (As on 01 April 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Candidates must have been born between 02 April 1996 and 01 April 2005 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government rules.

Selection Process
The SBI PO Recruitment 2026 selection process consists of three phases:
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
- Phase-II: Main Examination
- Phase-III: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Personal Interview
The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview stages.
Salary and Benefits
The starting basic pay of an SBI Probationary Officer is ₹48,480 along with several allowances and benefits, including:
