J&K Degree Colleges Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for Lecturer, Teaching Assistant & Librarian Posts
The Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Lecturers, Teaching Assistants (TAs), Physical Training Instructors (PTIs), and Librarians on a need-based academic arrangement in Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory for the Academic Session 2026-27.
The recruitment will be conducted under Government Order No. 137-JK(HE) of 2024 dated 01-03-2024. Interested candidates can apply online through the official portal from 10 July 2026 (09:00 AM) to 15 July 2026 (05:00 PM).

Educational Qualification
Lecturer / Librarian / PTI
- Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
- 50% marks for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates.
- NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. is mandatory.
Teaching Assistant
- Master's Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
- 50% marks for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates.

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on merit.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for Lecturers and Teaching Assistants.
- College allotment will be made through a centralized online system based on merit, candidate preferences, and available vacancies.
Important Instructions
- Applicant must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Maximum age should be below 60 years.
- Only online applications will be accepted.
- Candidates should fill only those college preferences where they are willing to serve.
- Preference modification will be allowed once after publication of the Final Merit List.
- Failure to join the allotted college within the stipulated time will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- All updates will be available only through the official portal.

- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Fill the online application form.
- Upload all required documents.
- Pay the ₹200 application fee online.
- Submit the application before 15 July 2026 (05:00 PM).
