District Court Srinagar Recruitment 2026: 17 Class-IV Posts, Check Eligibility, Age Limit and Application Details
The Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar has invited offline applications for 17 Class-IV posts in the District Courts of Srinagar. The recruitment has been announced through Advertisement Notification No. 02 (TWD), dated 22 August 2026.

The vacancies are distributed among different categories including OM, SC, ST, RBA, OBC, EWS and ALC/IB.
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Process Server posts must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised Board.
For Orderly/Chowkidar posts, candidates must have passed the 10th (Matric) examination from a recognised Board.
Domicile Requirement
The candidate must be a resident of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate as prescribed under the applicable J&K Government rules.
Age Limit
The age is to be calculated as on 1 January 2026.

For OM candidates, the date of birth should be between 1 January 1986 and 1 January 2008. For the reserved categories listed above, the date of birth should be between 1 January 1983 and 1 January 2008.
Application Dates
Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar during office hours from 24 August 2026 to 22 September 2026.
The prescribed application form can also be downloaded from the official District Court Srinagar website.
Candidates applying for two or more posts must submit a separate application for each post.
The completed application form must be submitted to the office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar (Administrative Section) during office hours.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹300 through a Demand Draft from J&K Bank Ltd. in favour of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar.

The application form must be accompanied by self-attested copies of:
- Qualification/Marks Certificate
- Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation)
- Domicile Certificate
- Category Certificate, if applicable
Selection Process
Selection for the advertised posts will be made on the basis of merit obtained in the Interview/Viva Voce only.
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for the interview/viva voce on the dates notified separately. No individual call letters will be issued.
