SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026: 9,132 Vacancies, Apply Online
State Bank of India (SBI) has released the recruitment notification for Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) for the year 2026-27. A total of 9,132 vacancies have been announced, including 7,688 regular vacancies and 1,444 backlog vacancies across different States and Union Territories.
Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the SBI recruitment portal from August 11, 2026, to August 31, 2026.

SBI JA Vacancy Details
The vacancies are distributed State/UT-wise and category-wise. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only.
The notification includes vacancies for categories such as:
- General
- OBC
- SC
- ST
- EWS
- PwBD
- Ex-Servicemen
- Disabled Ex-Servicemen
The vacancies mentioned in the notification are provisional and may change depending on the Bank's actual requirements.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Candidates who are in the final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally. However, if selected, they must produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2026.
Age Limit
As on April 1, 2026, candidates must be at least 20 years old and not more than 28 years old.
Candidates must have been born not earlier than April 2, 1998, and not later than April 1, 2006, both dates inclusive.

Local Language Requirement
Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the State/UT for which they apply.
Candidates are required to appear for a Local Language Test (LLT) after qualifying the online Main Examination and before joining the Bank.
Candidates who studied the specified local language at 10th or 12th standard and can produce the relevant certificate/marksheet may be exempted from the language test.

The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, while the Main Examination is tentatively scheduled for November 2026.
The final merit list will be prepared State-wise and category-wise.
Important Points for Candidates
- Candidates can apply for vacancies of one State/UT only.
- There is no provision for Inter-Circle or Inter-State Transfer for Junior Associates before completion of five years of service.
- Candidates will be considered only against vacancies in the State/UT for which they have applied.
- OBC reservation benefit is available only to candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer.
- OBC candidates must submit the prescribed OBC certificate containing the Non-Creamy Layer clause.
- EWS candidates must produce the prescribed Income & Assets Certificate.
- PwBD candidates must possess the required disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
The notification provides 4% horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
