Territorial Army Recruitment 2026: The Territorial Army has announced recruitment for Infantry Battalions and Home & Hearth (H&H) Battalions for candidates belonging to Zone-1, covering the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and NCT Delhi.
The recruitment will be conducted through recruitment rallies at Madhopur (Punjab), Ludhiana (Punjab), Kalka (Haryana) and New Delhi during November and December 2026.

Recruitment Rally Schedule
Madhopur, Punjab
Recruitment for candidates from the specified districts will be conducted at 126 Inf Bn (TA) J&K Rif, Madhopur, Punjab.
Dates: 10 November to 21 November 2026.
The schedule covers candidates from districts including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Poonch, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Ramban, Doda, Pulwama, Budgam, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Shopian, Bandipora and Kulgam.
Ludhiana, Punjab
Recruitment rallies for candidates from Punjab districts will be conducted from 10 November to 23 November 2026 at Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana.
Districts include Amritsar, Firozpur, Patiala, Fazilka, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Mansa, Ropar, Muktsar, Bathinda, SBS Nagar and Moga.
Kalka, Haryana
The Kalka recruitment rally will be conducted from 28 November to 11 December 2026 at 102 Inf Bn (TA) Punjab, Kalka Military Station, Haryana.
The schedule covers Chandigarh and SAS Nagar, Panchkula, Chamba, Kangra, Una, Solan, Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Sirmaur, Lahaul & Spiti, Kinnaur and Shimla.
New Delhi
The New Delhi recruitment rally will be conducted from 10 November to 21 November 2026 at 106 Inf Bn (TA) RAJ RIF, Delhi Cantonment.
The districts include Rohtak, Kurukshetra, Jhajjar, Rewari, Sonipat, Ambala, Gurugram, Bhiwani, Yamunanagar, Charkhi Dadri, Sirsa, Hisar, Faridabad, Jind, Kaithal, Mahendragarh, Narnaul, Panipat and NCT Delhi.
Age Limit
Candidates must be 18 to 42 years of age as on the date of recruitment.
Educational Qualification
Soldier General Duty
Candidates should have passed Class 10th/Matriculation with at least 45% marks in aggregate and 33% marks in each subject.
Soldier Clerk
Candidates should have passed 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with at least 60% aggregate marks and 50% marks in each subject.
A minimum of 50% marks in English and Mathematics/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Soldier Tradesman
Candidates applying for tradesman posts such as Chef, Cook, Steward, Dresser, Masalchi, Washerman and other trades should have passed Class 10th, subject to the trade-specific requirements.
House Keeper / Mess Keeper
Candidates should have passed Class 8th. There is no stipulated aggregate percentage, but candidates should have secured at least 33% marks in each subject.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidate should be a resident of the prescribed recruitment zone.
- Candidates serving in Central/State Government or Public Utility Services must obtain the required permission for enrolment.
- Candidates should satisfy the prescribed conditions regarding service in Armed Forces, Reserve Forces, CAPF and State Police Forces.
- Candidates should not have any reserve liability.
- Candidates should not have been dismissed from Territorial Army or other forces for misconduct.
- Candidates should not have more than one living spouse.
- Candidates should not have been convicted of an offence by a criminal court.
Physical Standards
- Height: 160 cm
- Chest: 82 cm with minimum 77 cm expansion
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical Standards
A height relaxation to 157 cm is applicable to candidates belonging to specified regions/domicile categories mentioned in the recruitment advertisement.
Physical Standard Relaxation
Relaxation is provided for certain eligible categories, including sons of serving personnel/ex-servicemen and eligible war widows/adopted sons, as specified in the recruitment advertisement.
- Height relaxation: 2 cm
- Weight relaxation: 2 kg
- Chest relaxation: 1 cm
Outstanding sportspersons at International, National and State level are also provided physical-standard relaxation as specified in the advertisement.
Important Reporting Instructions
Candidates are required to report at the respective recruitment rally location at the prescribed time.
No entry after 05:00 AM.
Candidates should carefully check their district-wise rally date and location before reaching the recruitment centre.
