Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) and Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) have issued separate recruitment advertisements for engagement of Veterinary Doctors, Para-Veterinarians/Medical Nurses and Dog Catchers/Animal Handlers under the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Programme in different Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of Jammu & Kashmir.

1. Veterinary Surgeon
- Total Posts: 10 (5 Jammu + 5 Srinagar)
- Qualification: MVSc in Surgery & Radiology from a recognised Veterinary College.
- Registration: Valid registration with Veterinary Council of India/J&K Veterinary Registration Tribunal or another recognised State Veterinary Council/Tribunal.
- Age Limit: 18–45 years
- Monthly Emolument: ₹80,000
2. Para-Veterinarian / Medical Nurse
- Total Posts: 40 (20 Jammu + 20 Srinagar)
- Qualification: 10+2 with Science from a recognised Board/Institution.
- Age Limit: 18–45 years
- Monthly Emolument: ₹20,000
3. Dog Catcher / Animal Handler
- Total Posts: 60 (30 Jammu + 30 Srinagar)
- Qualification: No minimum educational qualification. The post is open to candidates irrespective of qualification.
- Age Limit: 18–45 years
- Monthly Emolument: ₹15,000
Nature of Engagement
The engagement will be purely contractual and temporary under the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Programme.
The Srinagar advertisement states that selected candidates will be required to undergo the prescribed ABC training before deployment.
