JKSSB Recruitment 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 09 of 2026 for recruitment to 2,863 Class-IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker posts in various departments of Jammu and Kashmir.

The notification was issued on September 1, 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply online from October 5, 2026 to November 3, 2026.

JKSSB Vacancy Details

A total of 2,863 vacancies have been advertised under UT, Divisional and District Cadres.

• UT Cadre: 105 Posts
• Divisional Cadre: 1,990 Posts
• District Cadre: 768 Posts

The vacancies are available in various departments including Agriculture Production, Horticulture, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Estates, Transport and other departments.

Educational Qualification

For Class-IV (MTS) posts, candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th). The maximum qualification prescribed is 10+2.

For Sanitation Worker posts, the minimum qualification is 8th Pass and the maximum qualification is 10+2.

Age Limit

The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.

• Open Merit: Maximum 40 years
• SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC: Maximum 43 years
• PwBD: Maximum 42 years

Additional age relaxation is available for eligible categories as per the JKSSB notification.

Application Fee

• General Category: ₹600
• SC/ST-1/ST-2/EWS/PwBD: ₹500

The application fee can be paid through online modes including Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the prescribed written examination and additional marks applicable to the respective cadre and eligible categories.

The written examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Questions will be set in English and one-fourth negative marking will apply for each wrong answer.

Pay Scale

The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level SL-1 (₹14,800–₹47,100).

Domicile Requirement

Applicants must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate on or before the last date of application.
