Short Information: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026 for approximately 2536 posts. Eligible candidates can apply online from 07 September 2026 to 07 October 2026.

Age Limit as on 01 August 2026:

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 27 Years
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per SSC rules.

Eligibility Criteria

LDC & JSA

Candidates must have passed the Class 10+2 (Intermediate) Examination from a recognized board in India.

DEO

Candidates must have passed 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or equivalent.

SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam Pattern

Tier-II is a descriptive paper of 100 marks conducted in pen-and-paper mode.

  • Duration: 60 Minutes
  • Duration for Visually Handicapped Candidates: 80 Minutes
  • Candidates are required to write an Essay, Letter, Application or Precis.
  • The paper tests candidates' writing skills in English/Hindi.

SSC CHSL Tier-III Exam Pattern

Tier-III consists of a Skill Test / Typing Test and is qualifying in nature.

The final merit of successful candidates is determined on the basis of the total score obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II.

LDC / JSA

  • Pay Band-1: ₹5200–20200
  • Grade Pay: ₹1900 (pre-revised)

DEO / DEO Grade ‘A’

  • Pay Band-1: ₹5200–20200
  • Grade Pay: ₹2400 (pre-revised)

  2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) if you have not already registered.
  3. Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
  4. Select and apply for SSC CHSL 2026 (10+2).
  5. Fill in your personal, educational and examination-centre details carefully.
  6. Complete the live photograph/document requirements as per SSC guidelines.
  7. Pay the application fee, if applicable.
  8. Preview the application form carefully.
  9. Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
