GMC Srinagar Recruitment 2026: Applications Invited for Project Research Scientist-II and Accountant Posts, Salary Up to ₹1.04 Lakh
Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, has invited online applications from eligible domicile candidates of Jammu and Kashmir for temporary engagement under the National Survey on Extent and Pattern of Substance Use in India (NDUS-2025) project.
The recruitment will be conducted at the Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS), Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Srinagar. The initial engagement will be for six months or until continuation of the scheme/project, whichever is earlier.

Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the following non-refundable application fee:
- Project Research Scientist-II: ₹1,000
- Project Technical Support-I (Accountant): ₹500

Age Limit
The maximum age limit for candidates is 40 years at the time of submission of the application form.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be made solely on the basis of their performance in the MCQ-based Written Test.

- Enter personal, educational and other required details.

- Submit the application form and take a coloured printout for future reference.
Candidates are also required to submit hard copies of the application form along with photocopies of uploaded certificates to the Office of Registrar Academics, GMC Srinagar, whenever asked.
Important Instructions
- Only candidates domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible.
- Candidates must possess all prescribed qualifications and certificates.
- Original certificates/affidavits must be uploaded in PDF format, with a maximum size of 1024 KB.
- Photograph, signature and thumb impression must be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format, with a maximum size of 700 KB.
- Candidates must ensure that their email ID and mobile number remain active during the selection process.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the written examination.
- The temporary engagement will not confer any right to regular or permanent appointment.
