Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released Notification No. 09-PSC (DR-P) of 2025 for the recruitment of faculty and other gazetted posts in Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, Srinagar under the Health & Medical Education Department. Educational Qualifications
For Medical Faculty Posts (Assistant Professor):
- Super-Speciality Disciplines: DM/MCh in relevant specialty or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Broad Speciality Disciplines: MD/MS/DNB in relevant specialty with required teaching/research experience.
- Specializations include: Anaesthesiology, Cardiology, Clinical Haematology, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Pathology, Respiratory Medicine, etc.
For Non-Medical Posts:
- Assistant Nursing Superintendent: M.Sc. Nursing with 5 years’ experience.
- Junior Research Officer: M.Sc./Ph.D. in relevant science/medical subject.
- Resident Medical Officer: MBBS with 2 years’ experience in hospital administration.
- Lecturer (Nursing): M.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing with diploma and teaching experience.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2025)
- General Category: Max 50 years
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST): Relaxation up to 5 years
- OBC: Relaxation up to 3 years
- SKIMS Employees: As per Govt. Order
