Territorial Army Recruitment 2025: 162 Infantry Battalion (TA) Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry Rally Notification
The 162 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry has officially announced a recruitment rally for Soldier (General Duty) posts. The recruitment rally will be organized at JAK LI Regimental Centre, Rangreth, Srinagar from 15 November 2025 to 21 November 2025 (including the medical process). Eligible male candidates from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir are invited to participate.

🔹 Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18 to 42 years as on the date of recruitment.
- Educational Qualification:
- 10th / Matric pass with minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
- Boards with grading system: minimum ‘D’ grade (33-40 marks) in each subject and overall ‘C2’ grade (equivalent to 45% aggregate).
- Tattoos: Not allowed if visible while wearing physical training dress.
- Domicile: Candidate must possess a valid domicile certificate of Jammu and Kashmir.

Relaxation in Physical Standards:
- Sons of Servicemen, Ex-Servicemen, War Widows – 2 cm height, 2 kg weight, 1 cm chest relaxation.
- Outstanding Sportsmen – 3 cm height, 5 kg weight, 2 cm chest relaxation.
🔹 Selection Process

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

Medical Inspection:
- Candidates declared fit in PFT will undergo a thorough medical examination.

Written Examination:
- Objective type (OMR-based), bilingual (English & Hindi).
- Marking Scheme:
- Correct Answer: +2 marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 mark
- Unattempted: 0 mark

Screening/Aptitude Test:
- Conducted separately for shortlisted candidates.

- Territorial Army is a voluntary part-time organization; no permanent employment guarantee.
- Initial enrollment: 7 years, extendable based on service requirements.
- The Army will not be responsible for any accident or injury during the rally.
