The Territorial Army (TA) has released the official notification for recruitment in 157 Infantry Battalion (TA) (Home & Hearth) SIKH and 158 Infantry Battalion (TA) (Home & Hearth) SIKH LI. The recruitment rally will be conducted at 158 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) SIKH LI, Kathua (J&K) for eligible candidates belonging to specific tehsils of Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur districts.
This recruitment is only for candidates from prescribed catchment areas.

- 157 Battalion: Candidates from Jammu District, Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur & Ramgarh tehsils of Samba, and Teryath, Paoni & Reasi tehsils.
- 158 Battalion: Candidates from Kathua, Samba, Majalta & Ramnagar tehsils of Udhampur.

Candidates must report at rally site (Kathua) at 02:00 AM.
No entry after 05:00 AM.

Age Limit
- 18 to 42 years as on rally date.
Educational Qualification
1. Soldier General Duty
- 10th/Matric pass with 45% aggregate & 33% in each subject.
- Grading boards: Minimum D grade (33–40) in each subject & overall C2.
2. Soldier Tradesmen
- 10th pass
- No aggregate percentage required; minimum 33% in each subject.
Other Eligibility Conditions
Candidates must:
- Belong to the prescribed recruitment zone.
- Have no service in Armed Forces/CAPF/State Police.
- Not have more than one living wife.
- Not have been dismissed from any government/armed force service.
- Not have criminal conviction.

- Up to 5:30 min → 60 marks
- 5:31–5:45 → 40 marks
- Above 5:45 → Fail
31–42 years
- Up to 6:15 min → 60 marks
- 6:16–6:30 → 40 marks
- Above 6:30 → Fail

Candidates who pass physical & medical tests will appear for the CEE (Common Entrance Exam).
