SKIMS Recruitment 2025: Apply for Project Scientist, Research Associate, Lab Technician & Project Assistant Posts
The Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, under the Department of Clinical Research, has invited applications for several temporary positions under the DBT-GOI, Ministry of Science & Technology funded project titled “Augmentation of Advanced Technology at SKIMS Srinagar through DBT-SAHAJ-Infrastructure Programme.”
Available Posts & Eligibility
1. Project Scientist-II (01 Post)
- Qualification:
- 1st Class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences with PhD from a recognized university, or
- 2nd Class Master’s Degree with PhD in Life Sciences and 1-year experience.
- Desirable: Experience in handling large or multi-centre research projects.
- Remuneration: As per guidelines.
2. Research Associate-I (01 Post)
- Qualification:
- 1st Class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering & Technology, or
- 2nd Class Master’s Degree with PhD in Life Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering & Technology with 1-year experience.
- Experience: 3 years in a related field.
- Remuneration: As per guidelines.
3. Lab Technician (02 Posts)
- Qualification:
- 10+2 in Science with BSc MLT or equivalent, or
- 10+2 in Science with 2-year diploma in Medical Lab Technology and 1-year experience from a recognized institution.
- Desirable: Higher qualification (BSc MLT/MSc MLT) and healthcare/research experience preferred.
- Remuneration: As per guidelines.
4. Project Assistant (01 Post)
- Qualification: Graduate in science-relevant subjects from a recognized university/college.
- Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience in a recognized institute.
- Desirable: Healthcare or research-related experience preferred.
- Remuneration: As per guidelines.

Interested candidates should submit their applications along with photocopies of certificates/documents (experience in original) to Room No. 118, Ward 1P, First Floor, SKIMS by 28th October 2025.
Applications received after the due date or incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Important Terms & Conditions
- All posts are purely temporary and for a period of 12 months or till project completion.
- Appointment can be terminated with one-month notice from either side.
- Candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under this project or SKIMS.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining the post.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
